The Alice in Wonderland splash pad at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort reopened September 30 following renovations that removed the iconic tipping Mad Hatter hat feature. The modification marks a significant change to the original splash pad design that has been part of the resort for 38 years. Disney did not announce the specific reasons for eliminating the mechanical hat, which was a signature element of the attraction.
