Former Disney Imagineer Joe Rohde confirmed that Walt Disney World will replace the Expedition Everest yeti audio-animatronic rather than repair it, marking an official end to efforts to fix the long-malfunctioning figure after roughly two decades. The announcement clarified Disney's intentions to remove and completely replace the iconic attraction's centerpiece rather than pursue additional repairs.
